I had a great time with the good people over at Theatre Art Galleries in High Point, NC with an acrylic landscape painting workshop. We had a wide range of attendees, from absolute beginners to the well accomplished painters.
Our focus in this class was a river scene in the mountains…something that resembled the New River of western North Carolina. We worked out perspective achieved through line and atmosphere and blocking in the major shapes. We also discussed the importance of values and temperature shifts in color to achieve an atmospheric effect.
Here are some pics from the workshop:
Thanks to all those who came out and thanks to Theatre Art Gallery for the opportunity!
